AMD Threadripper | Artist Impressions
Hey fellow Fonduers! I've recently had the privilege to test out AMD's Threadripper CPU and I wanted to share my experience here in this blog post. First, I want to state that AMD provided me with the PC and is sponsoring the content I produced.
My objective was to take an artist's look at how the Threadripper would help me in my everyday tasks. I worked on taxing the CPU with multiple processes that are typically CPU intensive such as rendering, video encoding and texture baking. I've found that the Threadripper has been nothing short of amazing, truly "ripping" through the tasks that I have been throwing it's way.

RAM: 128 GB
PROCESSES:
Rendering: Arnold 5 (CPU)
Baking: Substance Painter (CPU Bakers at 4K) Normal, Ambient Occlusion and Thickness
Video Encoding: Camtasia
Substance CPU Engine processing
CPU Temperature ran at 43°C - 75°C where at full CPU load was 74°C.
