VizPack: Architecture material library for Modo
VizPack: Architecture is a collection of over 90 materials providing a range of detailed and physically accurate shaders to cover many different needs. With a focus on interior and architectural renders the materials in this collection are general purpose materials representing the clean, subtly textured materials required for visualisation work.
These materials are the result of years of research, using both measured data and visual references to create the most accurate and realistic materials possible. The materials are designed to look good both from a distance and in close-up, with layers of detail that become apparent when you zoom in on them. The materials on offer in this collection are more detailed and consistent than those that ship with Modo by default, and will give better results in high quality renders.
From paints to floors, fabrics, brickwork and concrete, you will find materials to suit many different kinds of projects, either to use as they are, or as starting points for further customization.
Some of the brick and concrete textures were built by photogrammetry, allowing for very high levels of realism and detail, and are particularly good for close-ups. For textures that need to cover a wider area Substance Designer was used, allowing for seamless tiling of the textures and easy exporting to other renderers or game engines.
The kit also includes all the Substance Designer files that were used for its creation, allowing Substance users to re-use these for other renderers or to create their own variations of the textures.
Also included is the interior scene (image at the top), allowing users to test the materials in context and to create their own variations of the interior render. A great learning resource for anyone who wants to dissect a realistic interior render built specifically for Modo.
By using this library you can take the guesswork out of shading and texturing, knowing that the materials all use physically accurate values and are based on real-world references.
Please note that these materials are designed for use with Modo's native renderer.
