These shaders have been recreated from scratch to work with Vray and Octane in Modo, using these third-party render engines to their full potential. Creating SSS materials in Vray and Octane can be very time-consuming, especially if you aren't familiar with the nodal setups that are required to get the best results. In Vray this means creating a Mix material and plugging in separate nodes for translucency and for transparency, and taking great care to ensure that the presets work on both CPU and GPU. In Octane the materials make use of volumetric scattering for enhanced realism.
