How CG Works | Look At Constraint
The look at constraint, or direction constraint is a very common tool in computer graphics. If you use MODO, Maya, Blender or any other DCC software to build animated scenes you probably used Look At constraint at some point.
This video explains how the Look At constraint actually works under the hood. It walks you through the process of implementing the constraint in the same way it’s implemented in your DCC software. And it does that in an informal, visual and hopefully artist friendly way, without using any programming.
If you are an artist who already knows about how to use the tools but you are curious about the more technical side of computer graphics or you just want to understand the tools better - this video is for you.
